HISTORY
Family Apostolate Programmes:

BISHOP
AIM
PRIESTS

To create a new meaningful Christian family life is the basic aim of the family Apostolate programme of our Diocese. Society is undergoing vast changes now-a-days. The Mass media the television, the radio, the cinema, the periodicals etc. all these are making deep inroads into the social structure and family life of our people. The youth fall easy prey to materialism, atheism and other harmful modern ideologies. Alcholism and drugs pose great dangers to our youth. It is upto the workers of the family apostolate to counter these evil impacts and strive to restore family life to Christian values. To save the youth from dangers to their faith and morals, they are to be conscientised and well formed in the light of the Gospel and the teachings of the Church. Thus the aim of the Family Apostolate programme is to restore the family to its pivotal position, so that it will be able to carry out its noble mission that God has entrusted it with.
