Vision & Mission Statements

Bishop Benziger Hospital is dedicated to the cause of ensuring good quality patient care and is wholly committed to the motto To Love is To Serve'. We draw inspiration from Jesus Christ, the Divine Healer who sent forth His disciples to continue the ministry of healing. Caring love is the specific norm on which we base our moral judgements. Catering to the healthcare requirements of the people of Kollam and its suburbs is the mission we have undertaken and with this aim in mind, our healthcare system strives for perfection. It is our conviction that we owe our patients effective standards of care in the services we provide them by putting in hard work and great effort. We shall never discriminate them on the grounds of race, caste, creed or status. Our concern is for the less fortunate of the society and our objective is to provide them healthcare services at affordable charges or if need be free treatment.

Bishop Benziger College of Nursing seeks to make a qualitative contribution to health care by training devoted, earnest responsible personnel in the nursing career. The institution aims at excellence in the field of nursing bearing in mind that the course should be based on sound educational principles, stressing the on-going development of the student as an individual, a citizen and a nurse. It pursues the task of preparing young men and women to render healthcare services to all people, particularly the down trodden, irrespective of nationality, race, creed, colour, age, sex, politics or social status and of guiding them to assimilate the attitudes and values of the nursing profession.
